v0.6: A New Direction
Version 0.6 is now live, and it marks one of the biggest changes in the development of Supernova Deliveries so far.
The most important update in this version is a change in paradigm. The player is no longer restricted to a mostly fixed forward movement: you now have full freedom to move around the scene in all directions. While the full delivery system is not implemented yet, the intended long-term goal is clear: traveling from left to right to deliver your cargo across space.
To support this shift, several core systems have been reworked.
One of the most significant changes is the enemy behavior. Enemies now use a new AI that actively chases the player. Even so, the goal was to keep their movement and “feel” as close as possible to the previous version, just adapted to the new freedom of movement.
The asteroid generator has also been reworked. It should now feel more realistic, less repetitive, more dynamic, and more random compared to earlier versions.
There are also some smaller but important additions and improvements:

A laser aiming system has been added to certain weapons (currently the cannon and the minigun) to help with aiming. This feature is not intended to be available from the start and will most likely be unlocked later through the in-game shop using credits and materials.

More background planets have been added to improve visual variety.

Multiple bugs have been fixed across the game.

The API system has been updated, resulting in much faster login and registration times, with no long waits anymore.
From this point on, development will focus mainly on new content, especially the full delivery system, which is the core of the game’s vision.
